Virtually-Me is a Free service, offered via the Internet (and eventually other digital media such as mobile apps) that serves virtually anyone who currently uses Search Engines to find information on the Internet, but who recognizes the need for a richer experience than simply being delivered an evergrowing list of results. Virtually-Me is an idea whose time has come. Human beings have sought answers to questions since time immemorial. During the design and development phase, the VirtuallyMe.com team continues to research all aspects of the market we are entering. Though all Internet surfers utilize some type of search tools/sites, we understand that not EVERY result needs to be personalized to the nth degree. Even though our brand promise is to deliver synthesized information, individuals do not need personalized answers to "What time is a particular movie playing at the local theater?"

Instead, we function best with searchers who ask "Which movie would I like best based upon my age, gender, etc. Thus, our market is bifurcated. One branch KNOWS they want personalized answers, and are in the information market for that type of experience. Everyone else can be trained to search "better" with Virtually-Me. Google gives a nod to this concept with their 
"Advanced Search". Bing touches the topic with their "Search History". Neither capitalizes on the use of User-created profiles, nor filters results by age and gender.

Industry Growth Potential
Google's 2010 Income statement indicates $ 29,321,000,000. in total revenue. Yahoo! reported 1,501,379 for the same period. The Internet continually pushes into areas of the globe that do not yet enjoy consistent connectivity. The amount of time that individuals spend online has risen dramatically. Author Tamar Lewin writes in "If Your Kids Are Awake, They're Probably Online" that the Kaiser study results "shocked its authors" since they had concluded after a 2005 study that media use among young people "could not possibly grow further":

Those ages 8 to 18 spend more than seven and a half hours a day with such devices, compared with less than six and a half hours five years ago, when the study was last conducted. And that does not count the hour and a half that youths spend texting, or the half-hour they talk on their cellphones.

And because so many of them are multitasking - say, surfing the Internet while listening to music - they pack on average nearly 11 hours of media content into that seven and a half hours!
